Meet Tess. She is a pitbull, 8 weeks old and 5lbs. She is not from the shelter, but from a rough backyard breeder situation. I didnt want her to end up in the wrong hands, so I got her from the breeder and vaccinated the rest of his puppies while I was there. He is considering letting us find a home for the mamma with our rescue. Hopefully that works out. If not, I am actively working on educating and helping these kids with the rest of the pups. Back to Tess, we went to the vet the very next day, and she had a bad case of hookworms and is very anemic from said worms. Her red blood count was only 22, and needs to be closer to 35. She has been given a dewormer, and we are supplementing her diet with seared calf liver, and an iron supplement. She is one of the sweetest, most adorable dogs Ive encountered. Everyone loves her. Especially Faith, Sky and Nate. She jumps on Nates face while they play. He just lays on the floor by her. Ill need to get some videos. XO
