Meet Vinny (How you doin?). We pulled this 94 lb boy from Gaston County shelter yesterday. Hes sweet but a bit of a mess. He had an untreated gun shot wound on his back and severe swelling on his right side. (He also has an eye infections but those are being treated.) As soon as we got him home to RHR, we took him to the ER vet for treatments. They gave him a heavy duty pain killer, cleaned him up, took a couple x-rays, dosed him with antibiotics, anti-inflammatories, and pain killers. He goes back in 5 days for a re-check. If the swelling doesnt go down, they will have to do more x-rays and possibly exploratory surgery. HE IS SO SWEET and patient too. (Last picture was after the pain killers.)
