Meet a cute girl at O rielly, she immediately asks if I own the Datsun 510 Wagon outside. I respond, no I wish! I own the Cherokee. Straight 6. 4 liter great engine she replies with a smile. My heart starts to warm up. She asks me about what oil I am using. Amsoil I slightly stutter. This cant be happening I am thinking to myself. A girl who is into the same cars I am. We have small chit chat about different makes and models of datsuns and jeeps. And about how newer cars are pieces of crap, and manuals are the way to go. Feet are tingling. She is checking out at the counter, turns around and tells me with a chuckle, you and my boyfriend would probably get a long very well! Heart sinks past my stomach and into the ground. Oh yeah I bet. was the best I could force out of my mouth with the taste of defeat fresh on my tongue. She walks out to her Toyota Wagon and I make eye contact with the clerk behind the counter. Shaking my head, I tell him the gasket I came in for. :(
