Meet cast member, Jamaal K. Solomon: Jamaal is happy to be back on the brighter side of the stage after a long stint on the technical and production side of things. He has been working actively in theatre for over 15 years and has been performing in general for almost 30. Some of Jamaals favorite roles have included Coalhouse (Ragtime), Joseph (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat), Horse (The Full Monty), Schroeder (Youre A Good Man Charlie Brown) and as Simon Zealots (Jesus Christ Superstar). He also played the role of The Voice of Audrey II in the award winning production of Little Shop of Horrors at the 2012 Orlando Fringe Festival. He has performed in over 20 countries and even once did the National Anthem at the NBA Finals with the Air Force’s Premier Entertainment Unit Tops in Blue. During the day he works for Orange County Public Schools as a Teachers Assistant working with severely handicapped students. He also serves on the Advisory Board of the Breakthrough Theatre of Winter Park as their Technical Director. He performs as a member of Central Florida Community Arts and also as a member of their professional ensemble Legacy! Somewhere Jamaal even finds the time to Assistant Direct for the Wekiva River Players as well. He would like to thank his fiancée Louisa, his family and his friends for putting up with his erratic schedules. Jamaal also thanks you for continuing to support the arts in Central Florida.
