Meet handsome, perfect Charley! Here is what his foster Mom wants you to know about him Charley was surrendered by his owners due to financial hardship. He is neutered, weighs 68 pounds and is reported to be 9 years old. Charley is friendly, always smiling and tail always wagging. He walks up to everyone and greets them with a big grin, nuzzling in for a pat. He loves the companionship of other dogs and cats. I even caught one of the cats cuddled up next to him, both of them wearing big grins. He is very gentle and kind. He was great around my elderly parents and loves my older kids and my giant male golden. Charley loves his toys. He carries them all around the house and often presents them to us for a tug or to throw. His favorite is a giant bone that he gnaws happily for hours on end. He shows no interest in the pool and is happy to hang around inside the house or on the patio. We took him to the dog park and he had a marvelous time running and playing. He is only good for short outings though as he is out of shape and tires quickly. He needs to build up some stamina. Charley has been vetted. He is heartworm free and current on his vaccines. He has an ear infection that we are treating. He has a condition that makes him snort and honk when he is excited. He cannot wear a regular collar and Ive found that he is much more comfortable in his new harness. Charley wants you to know he is just the BEST Golden Oldie. Charlie is a super sweet, lovely dog. He likes other dogs and cats too. He is not afraid or aggressive at all. Just happy to be in the pack. He also loves humans and greets everyone in typical golden fashion (smile, tail wag, little lean). Charlie comes when called, sits when told, and is housebroken. He enjoys being outdoors but is just as happy hanging out inside the house. He follows us around but isnt annoying at all. Just sort of like a soft, furry, comforting shadow, smiling up at us all the time. He loves toys and especially loves giant bones. He has quietly made several trips to the toy basket, taken every single bone out and carried them all to his bed. He brings his toys to us and lets us take them from him while he just smiles that silly grin and wags his tail. When hes excited, he grunts. At first we were alarmed but now it just makes us laugh. This sweet, sweet dog is going to make his new family very happy. Please call Denise to meet him @954 796-7560
