In order to meet the demands of an ever increasing number of customers, two further music stores have been opened in the Rue de Rome since 1987. Each of the three stores concentrates on a very specific selection of scores. Up until today La Flûte de Pan remains a family-owned company with 23 employees who are passionate about music, not only at work but also in their free time; in all kinds of constellations and genres whether it is orchestras or choirs, classical, pop, rock or French chanson. There is no doubt that professional musicians, musicologists and music lovers are spoilt for choice: there are hundreds of thousands of editions which La Flûte de Pan have in their huge stock. It would be impossible to count them all! It goes without saying that there are innumerable Bärenreiter editions to choose from. Absolute ‘must haves’ include Bach’s Cello Suites (BA 320), his three Sonatas and three Partitas for solo violin (BA 5116) as well as the vocal score bestsellers Mozart’s Requiem (BA 4538-90) and Bach’s Mass in B minor (BA 5935-90). Over the last decades La Flûte de Pan has developed a leading mail order business for music editions throughout France. This line of business has been intensified through the online shop laflutedepan. As you can see, La Flûte de Pan meets all the demands which are placed on a ‘modern’ music store today.
