Meet our new co-youth directors! Sarah and Scott come to us from Shreveport, Louisiana and have an extensive youth ministry background. Sarah is a graduate of Louisiana Tech and Scott studied Youth Ministry/Adolescent studies at Judson University in Chicago, Illinois. They both love Jesus and love youth. They have a house full of animals with two dogs and two cats. Sarah and Scott love to run, workout, backpack, play in the garden and use power tools, working around the house and serving others. Sarah grew up all over Louisiana, from Shreveport to Mandeville and everywhere in between. She even spent a few years in Korea teaching ESL classes. Scott is originally from Illinois and began serving full-time in the local church in youth ministry in 1999. He moved to Louisiana in 2006 after hearing God’s call for a change in ministry. They both have a deep desire to see youth raised up to be leaders in the church and community. Their hearts for ministry are centered around service in mission in the local church, community and the world. We are so thankful they have followed God’s call to Lovers Lane UMC and can’t wait for you to meet them! Save the date for a family dinner (parents and youth) on Sunday, March 30th from 5-7 in Asbury Hall to meet Scott & Sarah (details coming soon)!
