Meet school board candidate ROBBIE WHITE: Hawkins ISD Residents and Voters, Recently I have been asked what is my Platform as I ask for your vote in the upcoming School Board election. · I believe that all of our students should be given the utmost opportunity to be successful in life’s challenges. · I believe that a positive environment for academic excellence, athletic performance and all extracurricular activities should be an emphasis for our district. · I believe that with strong leadership and community support we can advance our district to a level above mediocrity. · I believe with cooperation, communication and a desire to move forward in the Administrative, Academic and Athletic Departments can allow our district to become the model for success and set a precedent for other districts to follow. · I believe that an inviting, secure, up to date campus will attract new parents and retain current parents during the decision making process of enrolling their child or children in our district instead of looking elsewhere. If we can set aside our personal goals and differences long enough to put our Students, Faculty, and District at the forefront then and only then we will become successful in all of our endeavors. I admit these ideas and beliefs may be difficult to reach, but with support from our community and a commitment to these outlined principles this district can move forward and achieve the previously established “Premier District” status once again.
