Meet the Experts Marine Conservation Series June 14th: SEA TURTLES!: Theyre back! The summer months are the busiest of the year for sea turtles in South Florida. Loggerhead, green, and leatherback turtles are here for nesting, and the resident hawksbills are a common sight on our local reefs. In this program, Zoo Conservation Biologist Larry Wood and Florida Atlantic Universitys Dr. Jeanette Wyneken will provide an overview of the current status of sea turtle biology and conservation, sea turtle anatomy and physiology, and a close-up introduction to the Zoos Florida Hawksbill Project, SE Floridas only research and conservation program focused on this important species. Cost for each program: $95 per person; all proceeds directly support the Florida Hawksbill Project at the Palm Beach Zoo.
