Meet the PAPA artists of SECOND SPRING (part 4): John Cosby A #SoCal native, Cosby began to draw and paint at an early age, with encouragement from his grandmother who was an oil painter. She would give him #paint, brushes and a scrap of canvas and set him off to create. That experience laid the foundation for his career today. A Signature Member of the Plein-Air Painters of America, Cosby travels extensively, painting what he sees and what he feels. While painting on location in a place I’ve never visited, I begin to recognize what makes it different from all the other places where I have been. I try to capture that uniqueness.
