RomeMUN is the only UN simulation in the world to offer 200 scholarships to participants so realizing the dreams of young people from all over the world. Abiy Shimelis goshu from Ethiopia Abiy is a 5th year undergraduate at Addis Ababa University, majoring in Civil and Environmental Engineering. He has been nominated as Secretary-General of the 2015 AfrO|MUN Edition subsequent to serving as its Under-Secretary General for Outreach. As a delegate for the Harvard National MUN, he submitted a successful social project for the *Resolution Venture Challenge* in Boston. His social venture was among the winning ideas in which he was awarded the “Resolution Project Fellowship of 2014 –Presented to social responsible leaders”. Abiy also worked as an intern for the United Nations Environmental Program (UNEP), were he related his enjoyable Model UN experience with “real-life” and “on-the-field” workings of the UN.
