Meet the Team Tuesday! Meet Connie Ross! 2014 was Connie’s 16th year skiing with BWG, who skis in Swivel, Ballet, and Pyramids. Connie started skiing with the team when her family joined as a fun family activity. She says she loves being a part of BWG because the team has become her second family she can always count on. Additionally, the team has helped her improve her current skills and helped her to gain new ones while helping others to do the same. Outside of skiing, Connie is a Dance and Tumbling Instructor for the Scott County Family YMCA, as well as the Youth Development Coordinator, and she brings that ability to teach to the ski team also. Also, in 2013, she married BWG skier AJ Ross! Connie began to compete individually for swivel in 2011, where she placed 7th at the Central Region Tournament and 6th at the Division 2 National Tournament. In 2012, she placed 7th in the Central Region and 2nd in the Nation at the Division 2 National Tournament. In 2013, she placed 6th in the 360 Division of the FLAUNT IT Tournament, 5th in the Central Region, and 5th at the Division 2 National Tournament. And in 2014, she placed 5th in the Central Region, and realized a long-time dream of qualifying for the Division 1 National Tournament, where she took earned a 12 place finish!
