A test was presented to a little girl who had just turned 4 years old, they asked her to draw a picture in order to analyze the development of her ability of paying attention to detail. Holding the crayon tightly, she drew a princess. When done, her mother handed over the sheet to the physician, and to his astonishment, there were eyelashes, eyebrows, cheeks, lips, a diamond encrusted tiara, and everything else that a princess would have in the very detail. This was the beginning of a love for creating, expressing, and communicating emotions via her hands and various materials.Born and raised in Stockholm Sweden with Algerian heritage, Ms Himeur emigrated to the US in 2006. Relocating from Maryland, she ended up in Miami.Regardless of what feeling she may experience at the time, the beauty and originality of the extravagant creations she produce, never seas to amaze the eye of the beholder. Her ability to attract attention wherever she goes also reflects in her art.Gazing upon her canvas, there is a story being told, and the story is about life, nobody else but hers. Painting is something that I have enjoyed for as long as I can remember, whether I just wanted to create, or felt a need to unyield my emotions on the canvas.I personally enjoy abstract more than other categories because it allows the artist to create with no boundaries, disregarding reality to create something unique. The perception of each individual decides what they experience. It is the life of many, yet the life of one, it is free. -Linda Himeur
