Meet the new Elementary and Intermediate School staff members!! Michael Kissire I am the Assistant Principal of the Elementary and Intermediate schools. However, I have spent the last 17 years as the Ag teacher at the high school. I am originally from Wills Point, Tx. II graduated from Tarleton State University with and Ag Ed degree in 1995. I went on to earn my Masters of Education in Ed Admin from Lamar University in 2013. Kenia Chavez I grew up in Sonora and currently reside here. I started out as a substitute for Sonora Elementary, and am now currently the pre-kindergarten paraprofessional for the dual language class. Lizbeth De Luna I am a kindergarten teacher at Sonora Elementary. This is my first year teaching, and I am so excited to be here in Sonora! I was born in Eagle Pass, Tx and raised in San Antonio. I moved to Sonora this past January due to my marriage, and I enjoy the community. I attended Texas A&M-San Antonio University where I obtained my bachelors degree in Bilingual Education EC-6. Kathie Pacheco I am from Sonora! I am an Elementary paraprofessional for the Special Ed department as well as the Middle School One Act Play Director. Destiney Martinez I am originally from Snyder and moved to Sonora five years ago. I received my degree in elementary education prek-6 and all level special ed from Angelo State University. I am married to Mason Martinez and have two little boys, Jayce is 5 and Keegan is 1. I love spending time with my family watching sports and playing in the backyard. Jessica Phelps I am originally from Ozona, Tx. I graduated from Wayland Baptist University in Plainview, Tx. I am currently a kindergarten teacher at the elementary. Samantha Gaskill I am the 3rd grade Science and Social Studies teacher at the Intermediate. I am originally from Grand Prairie, Tx near Dallas. I received my BBA in Business Management/Minor Hotel Hospitality from Dallas Baptist University. I am currently finishing my teaching certification through iTeach Texas. My husband Scott is the youth minister at First Baptist in Sonora, and we have a little five year old Chug (Chihuahua/pug mix) named Ellie.
