Meet tonight’s black-and-white cookie, a young man named Slater hanging out at the Manhattan ACC. Slater is in BIG trouble tonight because the shelter plans on killing him come morning. Now Slater is a bit on the hyper side at the shelter - go figure - and he may have had a few bad experiences in his time. A few of his teeth are broken but Slater’s not talking about whatever was the cause. Slater is tiny for a pit bull mix as he’s only some 42-pounds. He’s a really nice dog who happens to be scared of other dogs. Slater’s a New Hope Only adoption because he behaved a little aggressively toward a strange dog at the shelter. We believe that Slater would be a different boy in his own comfy home, but he’s not going to get that chance from a freezer bag.
