Meet twin brothers Sam and Tom Allen, who will be taking part in the 2014 Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 with their dad Dominic Jones to raise funds for baby charity Bliss. Born ten weeks premature, Sam and Tom were treated in Oxford Street hospital, now Liverpool Women’s hospital, where they received the care they needed to ensure they have had no lasting effects from their early births. “Tom and I were both extremely premature and really relied on the facilities and experience made available to us when we were born. Having the ability now to be athletic, and do things like cycle, is due to the doctors and nurses who helped us. To be able to help ease the strain on families going through similar situations is why we’re pleased to be able to do this for Bliss,” says Sam.
