Meeting up with former PBS pupil from 1975 batch. We had so much to reminisce and talk about especially of those precious schooldays in Koon Seng Road, Joo Chiat area. Yes that school Presbyterian Boys School no longer exists today per se. But it lives on in a new version of the combined KCPS - Kuo Chuan Presbyterian School which is an amalgamation of 2 former brother-sister schools ..Kuo Chuan Girls Sch and PBS. KCPS today is located at Bishan St 13. What strong memories did someone like T Kwang who today runs his own successful Creative Design business - Jab Design Pte Ltd have about those days? He has many but strangely he shared that one of the most vivid thing he and many others of his time remember so clearly was that ...I was someone special..they recall the one day that I appeared with a fully loaded gun with two other men all 3 of us in plain clothes...and it was a normal teaching day. Yet, I was not teaching that day...but off on an operation including something potentially serious that I needed to prevent, investigate and give warning to...within that sch. Only the Principal was aware fully...as he knew that something had to be done but knew not what or how.. My external visit with my 2 team members achieved the desired results almost instantaneously..and the potentially explosive, dangerous threat was removed...when I tackled the offending party at the tuckshop during recess.
