Meeting with William Fanjoy, Director of the VA/DC U.S. Export Assistance Centers Thursday, 15th January 2015, H.E. the Ambassador today held a meeting with Mr. William Fanjoy, Director of the VA/DC Export Assistance Centers. Mr. Fanjoy had visited the Embassy to discuss plans for the Trade Winds-Africa Trade Mission which will take place in September 2015. Over 150 U.S. companies are expected to participate in this Trade Mission which will be the largest ever commercial expedition to Africa conducted by an official U.S. Government Department. Ambassador Githae welcomed Mr. Fanjoy and thanked him and his team for including Kenya in the list of countries for the Mission. He called upon Mr. Fanjoy to ensure that U.S. companies involved in the Energy Sector, especially renewable power generation and mineral exploration, are included in the delegation. The Ambassador pointed out that Kenyas newly developed Energy regulations are purposely developed to encourage mutually beneficial partnerships with international investors.
