Members of the Cal Aggie Marching #BandUh have accepted the #IceBucketChallenge for #ALS !!! They are nominating the Cal Poly Mustang Band and the UC Davis Football team to complete the challenge and donate towards #ALS. You have 24 hours!! The More You Know: -ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. -Approximately 5,600 people in the U.S. are diagnosed each year with the average life expectancy of 2-5yrs. -When the motor neurons die, the ability of the brain to initiate and control muscle movement is lost and in later stages patients become totally paralyzed. -ALS can strike anyone and occurs throughout the world with no racial, ethnic or socioeconomic boundaries.
