Members of the LCSO, the Loudoun Dulles FOP Lodge #69, local businesses, and the community turned out to support Deputy First Class Casey Macomber during the Walk for Wellness on Sunday at Algonkian Regional Park. Deputy First Class Casey Macomber was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) at the age of 26 on August 9, 2013. Casey and his wife Whitney are both in the middle of the hardest battle of his life. He is fighting his second battle with Leukemia. Casey, a Deputy with the LCSO, has taken a medical leave of absence and his wife, who previously used her FMLA leave to help him with his first battle, is attempting to work full-time while tending to his needs. A Go Fund Me account has been set up at gofundme/fuyef4, to raise monies to support Casey and Whitney and to help pay his medical bills. The LCSO supports Casey on his path to wellness.
