Members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Southern Kaduna - TopicsExpress

Members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Southern Kaduna Senatorial District yesterday said Governor Mukhtar Ramalan Yero’s deputy, Ambassador Nuhu Audu Bajoga is not committed to the success of the party in the area. A statement signed by Peter Jackson, general secretary of the PDP Inner Caucus of Elders, Youth and Women of Southern Kaduna said Bajoga is not actively campaigning for the party and had shown ‘nonchalant attitude’ to the success of all candidates fielded by the party. “The deputy governor does not understand the need to relate with politicians especially elders and interest groups from the zone,” the statement said. The statement said the emergence of former chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Barnabas Bala, from the zone as the running mate to party’s flag-bearer Malam Nasir El-Rufa’i would pose a serious challenge to the party and called on Bajoga to step up campaigns in the area. But Bajoga’s media aide James Kazza said the deputy governor yesterday held meetings with party elders, traditional rulers and youth groups in Zonkwa and Zango Kataf local government areas as part of his campaigns.
