Membership Sales & Services Coord - City of Germantown, TN - Germantown, TN The Germantown Athletic Club is seeking a Membership Sales & Services Coordinator who is enthusiastic and genuinely cares about the health and well-being of our members and prospective members. This individual will be responsible for club membership sales activities, including lead generation, selling and promoting club membership, and building and retaining relationships with existing members and clients in an effort to promote retention. Essential Duties: • Supervise front-desk activities • Greet potential members and give escorted tours of the facility, describing the facility, equipment, services and amenities according to the needs, interests and goals of potential member • Handle membership sales inquiries via telephone, email, and walk-in • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve Club sales goals • Generate leads through member promotions, referrals, walk-ins, and various other means • Make follow-up calls to new and prospective members and establish relationships with existing members to assure retention • Sell memberships and process new membership applications and contracts, assessing appropriate fees per membership type • Use specialized club software to enter and maintain membership and sales data • Assist in planning and implementing marketing and promotional activities and special events Requirements: • Must have an energetic personality with excellent verbal and written communication skills • Skill in using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and knowledge of or ability to learn to use specialized in-house software • Ability to demonstrate professional sales tactics and enthusiasm regarding the facility • Ability to work as a team member and motivate staff toward meeting goals • Ability to develop and maintain ongoing relationships with club members • Ability to listen to guests and understand their fitness goals and needs • Ability to work independently and be organized to manage multiple tasks and projects Qualifications: Equivalency to some college, degree preferred; and three years of sales and customer service experience including at least one year of customer service supervisory/lead experience. Some experience working in a fitness facility strongly preferred. Schedule: M–TH 10:00 – 7:00; SAT 7:00 – 4:00 City of Germantown Policy: To be eligible to apply for a position opening, all current employees must have completed (6) months in his/her position and obtain a request for transfer from the Human Resources office.
