Membership price change. Forge Gym Members, In 2011 I opened the Forge Gym in a single unit (what is now the free weights room) on Carsegate Road North. The aim was to offer a 24 hour training facility for people who wanted to get in and get the work done with no nonsense, and that remains the same today. Since then a lot has changed - double the equipment, massive refurbishment to the building, and of course we have doubled the size of the gym itself by converting the adjacent unit and knocking through, adding Highland Boxing Academy, IB Beauty, Ionic Balance, Pole Dance Scotland and Fusion MMA to the Forge. Some of you have been there since day one and will remember the blue carpet tiles and unpainted walls....good times! Some are a bit newer to the family; and I thank you all for your support in making Forge the place it is today. Throughout this time the no contract membership rate has remained the same at £22.50 per month. The cost base for the gym however, has not. All of our fixed costs have increased every year. With that in mind I have decided to change the price of the no contract direct debit membership by an amount approximately equivalent to inflation over the time the gym has been open. This will bring the no contract monthly fee to £24.95 per month as of September onwards. For no contract members this works out at an extra 8p per day, or £2.45 per month. Annual contract membership will remain at £19.95 per month, Uniform Membership for Police, Fire and Forces remains at £14.99 per month and Pay in Advance will remain at £240 for 1 year + Six months free. Programs, inductions, Q and A and support via Email / phone / messenger remain free for all members as always. I feel £24.95 per month still represents great value for the specialised kit and 24 hour access we provide at Forge, and I look forward to continuing to expand and enhance the gym with your support.
