Memories are very difficult to categorize. One who has lived through and experienced traumatic events, particularly in their formative years, cannot forget, nor can they be expected to deny, all that they have seen, thought, felt, been told. All memories shape our identities. Often times, difficult and trying circumstances provide us with the opportunity to seek refuge in meditation and reflection, allowing us to become more spiritual, more compassionate, more willing to overlook past hurts. Where there is a spirit of forgiveness and an open heart, there resides love and compassion. And when love and forgiveness live alongside one another, there is redemption and there is acceptance. The result is freedom and freedom is peace. Peace brings enlightenment. Being one with the Divine is to be centered in our source, the creator of all. Being compassionate and feeling love for all human kind, that is nobility of service. Yes, to the moon. And to the stars and the Heavens up above. The sky is endless and life is forever.
