Men fears what he cant understand During Super Bowl XLVIII Coca - TopicsExpress

Men fears what he cant understand During Super Bowl XLVIII Coca Cola aired a commercial that contained the song America the Beautiful which was sung in eight different languages. I thought it showed the love people from different backgrounds have for America (The United Stated) and showed the patriotism they have by singing the song in their language of heritage. But apparently a few Americans felt rage because it wasn’t sung in English. Would people have felt the same anger if it had been sung in Nabajo? Were in the 21st century, its time to discard our prejudice, what makes America (The United States) a great country is its diversity. People complained when in Texas an American kid sung the national anthem in English just because his ancestors were from Mexico and he was dressed in mariachi yet it seems normal if someone of Irish decent sings it while wearing a kilt. Its very clear that people hate not because of language or nationality but because theyre not like me Im not referring to race or color but unfortunately many times it is a factor. I could care less about coca cola (I dont even drink sodas) but people need to look beyond their back yards and egos and realize that coca cola is the number one selling drink in the WORLD, a couple angry Muricans boycotting it will not hurt them. Here are a few facts about The United States of America, In the state of Hawaii the official language is Hawaiian a Polynesian language along with English. In Alaska there are twenty indigenous languages spoken along with English. Now in those states English was picked up later. In the continental United States there are several languages spoken. US Territories include Puerto Rico where Spanish is the dominant language but English is also spoken, In American Samoa they speak Samoan along with English, In Guam they speak Chamorro and English, In the Northern Mariana Islands they speak Carolinian, Chamorro and English. Sorry to disappoint you but by law the state of Illinois is the only place that had American as an official language, rather than English. And I know youre going to hate this but in a federal level The United States of America has no official language. As an American it seems illogical to hate something or someone for loving America. “To ignore the truth makes us slaves of a lie” Thank you for reading - Danke für das Lesen - Gracias por leer 感謝您的閱讀 - תודה על קריאה - merci pour la lecture - شكرا لكم على القراءة - okuma için teşekkür ederim - Спасибо за чтение お読みいただき、ありがとうございました You get the point
