Mens swimwear is shrinking in size as womens bikinis get bigger, according to a new report. Sales figures from a High Street retailer reveal women are ditching the traditional string bikini in favour of 1950s-style high-waisted briefs and swimsuits. Debenhams says it’s seen a marked increase in sales of retro style bikinis - up 17% compared with this time last year. Mens surf shorts have also been in steady decline – with the smaller Daniel Craig-style swim shorts are most in favour, seeing a 242% increase in recent weeks.
