Mental Health Peer Support Specialist Training Available! Application materials for the new Mental Health Peer Support Specialist Training are now available. Training will prepare students to become mental health peer support specialists/peer counselors. Topics include communication, suicide prevention, crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, cultural responsiveness, ethics, self-care, emotional literacy, resource provision, and many more. The program also assists with post-graduation placement in internships and in employment searches. All applicants must be individuals with lived mental health challenges.
