Mental health needs its own ER I have been distressed reading the articles about the overcrowding in the Victoria Hospital ER with mental health patients. I think London Regional Mental Heath should have its own emergency department to deal with these patients. It could be staffed by psychiatrists and psychologists rather than have these patients come to an Emergency Department that is dealing with a wide spectrum of problems. Maybe then, these patients could get the help that they need promptly and could be assessed by doctors trained specifically in that area. Our government needs to fund mental health hospitals for this service. I think it would save money in the long run.
