Mercedes how are you doing ...just got back from .......... on Saturday ..really want us to meet and discuss stuff..but most times am in ..... and you in ........I have to take some time off so we can see...regds to Oga .... There is this friend I have who is always battered by her husband...she is stupidly submissive that I am sure the angels will slap her more when she eventually dies in the hands of her husband ...my friend is beautiful,educated...(masters degree)..and I cannot understand why she allows herself to be used as some trash can by her husband,,,well why I am sending you this message is because she called me on Monday and when I got there she had this huge black eye with some sort of fluid coming out of her eyes...I asked what happened and she narrated a long story of how she could not get off work on time to pick her son and cook for the husband...and all her explanations fell on deaf ears..and when she raised her voice she got the beating of her life...My dear the annoying thing is that the husbands birthday was yesterday Wednesday...she wrote on her wall...to my loving husband, the man God created for me, my soul mate, the father of our lovely kids, the crown on my head...all stupid sorts...my question to her was...how you take see to write all these nonsense with this eye wen don close finish...I tire fa and am tired of advising...if you can...pls put this on your wall in your own words...maybe somebodys advice will unlock her locked/blocked brain abeg..regds Oh! Ekwensu, ta!!! I know that most us are tired of this kind of stories but unfortunately, there are happening in their great numbers everyday. Does it mean we will stop talking about it? No. Does it mean there are no good marriages? Of course not! (John Nwamary, I hope I shall not be lashed today). However, we need to be hammering on these ills (at least that is the best I can do for now till I purchase my AK47) till changes begin to happen. Funnily, there are some women (and men) who do not realize there are in problems till some one else, after several attempts, bring their attention to it. Lets do the best we can.
