Mercury in Aries Apr. 20th - May 5th Mercurys interaction with Mars sign Aries is more logical than the previous Mercury transit. Logic always requires some kind of force, as we attempt to pin something down and define it. Be mindful of this and the possibility of becoming a little curt or sharp with others for the next couple of weeks. Though impulsive communication may seem appropriate after a period of not being able to articulate effectively while Mercury was placed in Pisces, we must be aware of Mars added influence, creating a foot-in-mouth situation. There has been plenty of examples of this already. Today a minister in Ireland put his foot in his mouth on several occasions during a teachers conference, (Mercury represents education) when he suggested that the highly feminized primarily school teaching profession should have an honors maths qualification in order to qualify to teach - ouch! Think before you speak. Better still, bite your tongue - not too hard mind you! It would be best to use these transits to say less until things are more clear (after the eclipses in April and once Mercury moves into Taurus in May). Saturn and the eclipses keep things uncertain. We must allow some time before clarity is forthcoming. Saturns involvement (also retrograde) is asking us to be more deliberate in our thoughts and how we communicate these. Hopefully this will balance Mars impulsive nature at times. Otherwise we may find ourselves jumping in head first and then regretting what we have said, or implemented, later.
