Mercurys Shadow - for the 7th January 2015 Mercury is technically retrograde from the 21st January until the 11th February. However, if you are exploring the psycho-spiritual process related to this celestial phenomenon, there is a lead in and lead out time that extends the Mercurial Retrograde process from the 5th January through to the 4th March!! This entire process, also known as the “Shadow”, refers to the time prior to the retrograde wherein Mercury passes the degree of its Direct Station until the time that it passes over the degree of its Retrograde Station, is a time of increasing reflection and one when creative and right brained transformation techniques are heightened (meditation, dream/ image-work, dance, writing, music and other divinatory/ intuitive processes).
