This is one of the most difficult composition as far as singing is concerned. Actual time of this Raag is evening but this can be played any time. It is said that once Lord Shiva was not in merciful mood, that time, mother Parvati sang a song in this Raag to Please her Husband. All time favorite song Tere mere Beech mein from Ek Duje Ke Liye sung by my singing idol S.P. Balasubramaniam ji has been composed in the same raga. Kishore Da too wanted to sing Mere Naina Sawan Bhadho that was initially written for Lata ji. R. D. Burman agreed and wanted to record Kishore Kumar first. Kishore Kumar insisted Lata Ji record first. Though unacceptable at first, R. D. Burman yielded. Lata Mangeshkar recorded the song with great difficulty as it demanded great vocal strengths with long notes. Kishore Kumar had his version recorded. Till date his version is more famous than Lata Jis. He listened to the song for 7 days before recording. I tried my best to do justice to this song. Hope you will like it.
