Merry Christmas Everbody! Merry Christmas from The Hobbit House. Happy Birthday Jesus! Ah sure, I know that theres an intellectual argument that it isnt really Jesus birthday...that the early Christians adopted it from the traditional birthday of the gods of the Mediterranean Mystery Religions so that it would be easier to convert people...but I dont care. We celebrate today. And I dont care if you think Jesus was God incarnate, or the Son of God or just some real insightful lawng-hared guy in sandals. I can follow the teachings of Jesus for the rest of my life and never catch up. Thank You, Jesus. Enough of the sermon. I am very grateful to wake up with Linda, and E-Wok and Murphy the cats. I am very grateful for my four healthy children. I am very grateful to have grown up in a family where I was loved, and for all my cool relatives. I am very grateful for all of my wonderful friends. I am very grateful to open the front door to a lake, and to see the birds and the park across the lake where children play, and for all of the glories and mysteries of this world. We are all Blessed. I know that Christmas time can be difficult, I remember my first Christmas without my children; there wasnt a lot of joy to it. I know that some people are going through worse, or have been through worse. I wish that was all different, and my heart goes out to you. Were getting ready to go over to a home full of Lindas cool relatives, and eat some good food and make some music. I will carry into that house all that I am, and have been, and I hope that I will offer that gathering my best (which, I think, means that I should let other people sing as much as possible :) .
