Merry Christmas! We are celebrating the birth of Jesus our Lord and Savior this Christmas season! In our home our children receive 3 gifts to remind them that Jesus is the reason we celebrate. It is His birthday celebration, and he was given 3 gifts from the Wise Men who traveled from the East to worship and honor Him. They also receive 1 gift from Santa (St Nick) who brings gifts to help remind children around the world of the greatest Gift of all! We hope your family is enjoying this joyous time of year! We know that everything may not be picture perfect in the reality of the holidays or in day to day life. But this season also serves to remind us that Jesus, the King of Kings, came not into a palace of comfort, perfection and riches. He came into this world in a humble stable. His purpose was to reach us in our imperfection and give us the gift of grace - undeserved salvation! Glory to God in the Highest!! Luke 2: 8-14 And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests!
