Merry Christmas friends! I want to share a story with you today in the hope that it will inspire you and the people around you. Lets make the world a little bit better! All the best to all of you... If you follow me you know that I often write posts about living your life every day and taking nothing for granted. This is one of those posts. In bed late on Monday night, alone in the dark, I cried my eyes out upon learning that someone who I admired, respected, and thought the world of passed away last summer. I hadnt spoken to this woman in a while but I often thought of her… her smile, her laugh, her energy, and her great attitude toward life. She was actually someone who I, for a long time, had a secret little crush on but never actually told her. I often thought of asking her out but never did. I never really let her know just how great I thought she was. We were casual friends and I respected her and her work very much. Im not sure exactly why but finding out about her death has hit me very hard. She was only 45 years old and cancer took her life far too early. Between learning about her passing, losing my dad a few years ago, losing a couple of other friends in the last two years, getting older myself, and now dealing with my mothers rapidly declining health… I am truly sick of death and sick of life passing by in an instant. So... my holiday wish for all of you this year is that you live your life with gusto, love each other, kiss your kids, hug your significant other, tell a friend that you care about them, embrace your family, pursue a dream, check something off your bucket list, laugh and then laugh some more, tell someone that you appreciate them, give a stranger a compliment - ask someone out on a date. Live and live big. Dont let one more moment of one more day pass by without realizing just how precious each and every second, of each and every day truly is... and without realizing the importance of each person in your world. Happy holidays to all my friends near and far. Please know in your heart that no matter if its been two days, two months, two years, or 20 years since weve seen each other, talked, or shared a laugh… I still think of you all often and love you all very much.
