Merry Christmas to all my family and friends.. And now I will express my thoughts on Christmas. Christmas is the celebration of the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. The tradition of gifts represents the gifts brought by the three wise men. Christmas to me is a time to reflect and rejoice, not only from a religious aspect but from a personal one. I have never been a materialistic person. Things are nice but that isnt what it is all about. Every year my children make a list of their Christmas wishes. Every year my children ask me what I want for Christmas. Every year my answer is the same. I want be surrounded by my loved ones and be happy and proud. Pride is something all 7 of my children give me every day of my life. We have been through many ups and downs throughout the past 30+ years. There have been good times, bad times, separations, reunifications. The greatest gift for me for Christmas is something money cannot buy. Its something I see everyday. Yet on Christmas it means even more. I give thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ for leading me to my loving husband, Jim, of 30 years, no matter what others think of him and his uniqueness. I give thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ for having 7 children ages 24-34 who are best friends. My Christmas wish every year is that they continue that friendship, its something that I so very much wish I had with all 5 of my siblings. So, at Christmas, when you ask me what I want or what I need, this is why my answer is always All I want, all I need, is to know that my children are happy, healthy, and making me proud, everyday. The only thing missing is the connection with my siblings. I have that with 3 of the 5 and I cherish and accept that. Merry Christmas to all my family.
