Message From Gary Valenciano: The character of the DLSU lady spikers was seen in the last game because they havent been challenged like this in a while. The thing is, DLSU has to remember who they are and why theyre where they are now. They are the defending champions and yes there is pressure in being so but they are champions because they have what it takes to be just that. They must rise to the level of what they are known to be; unfazed about the last games outcome. They must be fueled by the challenge of ADMU...not threatened by it. If DLSU plays like the champions they are, although they may falter at times on Sat, they carry an outstanding chance to win...once more. The lady spikers have shown utmost respect to their coach and that is another reason they have remained so strong. The win will not come easy however. ADMU is stronger this year but its precisely a team like this that should bring about just how formidable the DLSU Lady Spikers really are. Instead of seeing how strong the opponent is, they must try looking at how this opportunity can bring out the very best in all of them. I feel the opposing team will try to jump start their approach and attack with ferocity. And they will do all they can to sustain it. But I think that is expected. They will come in full force both on and off the court. The cheers will be elevated knowing that theyre as close as they can ever be to a championship. But its not just any team they are playing. They are going against the DLSU LADY SPIKERS...nothing else needs to be said. But the champions must and will play with wisdom. They already showed it as they rallied back from being 2 sets down and almost winning the 5th set. With a heartfelt prayer for guidance and thanksgiving...the wisdom will be provided. The result will be a well-oiled, tuned-up, turbo-spirited, God-led volleyball team known as the champions; DLSU Lady Spikers. Live Jesus...in all our hearts...forever. ANIMO LA SALLE!!!!
