Message: I ran the dishwater, but I forgot to turn the cold water back on, so the dish water was too hot to wash dishes in. I ran a little cold water into the dishwater to cool it down some, nevertheless, the waters temperature was still relatively hot, yet bearable once I turned it off. As I was washing the dishes, I kept stacking them up in the second sink so I could rinse and dry them once I was done. I wanted to give the glass a little time to cool off because I remembered something that happened to me when I had gotten my first car. It had snowed outside and my windshield was frosted over. Naive and impatient, I decided to run some hot water and pour it on my windshield. Needless to say, the glass cracked and I was not a happy camper. I looked at the glass in the sink and the thought that came in my mind is that destructible things cant be both hot and cold. Get it? Neither you nor I can afford to be lukewarm!
