Keep the pressure on the polling agency relentless and persistent till the 16th. If you win, the real, harder task begins. For one, you will have less volunteering campaigners when you are in government. Retail inflation is 8.59%. Diesel price has been hiked by ₹ 1.09 per litre. And the last five years have witnessed depression: both economic and psychological. Fulfil the promises you have made in your election promises, should you win as the exit polls suggest. ___ Message for the Congress: If the exit polls are true, you will be out not for 5 but at least 10 years. This was the last election in which you enjoyed the advantage of Muslims and Christians hating the BJP in general and Modi in particular. The ailing Sonia Gandhi will be older and more frail with time. Rahul is intellectually challenged. Priyanka will not turn into a full-fledged politician. It is time to brace for a post-Dynasty Congress. How should you look like then? If you reverse the Sonia years that brought back Indira Gandhis mai-baap sarkar, and elect a leader like PV Narasimha Rao, you run the risk of your economics looking too similar to the BJPs. To look different, try stricter socialism. Maybe state-enforced capitalism as in China or Singapore. That calls for a mandate like the Rajiv Gandhi Government had. You have to work for two decades to bring that change by when India will be too tired of regional socialist parties. Then offer a stark contrast to the BJPs market-friendly economics in the form of compulsive business economics in a regime of fear of an overbearing state where police whip regular offenders and corrupt bureaucrats are sacked -- both via instant justice. And the Indian economy surges past every other countrys out of sheer fear of punishment!
