Hi all, I just wanted to make all parents aware that that BBC radio Surrey, (Danny Pike Show) will be broadcasting a piece this morning at 9.10, as part of MENCAPs hear my voice campaign, on the impact of the loss of short break respite provision and the impact that it has on peoples lives. There is a short interview with myself where they talk about that and we also discuss the current proposals on the future of Beechees and Applewood short break centres. More importantly though. I spoke with them yesterday following the whitewash over the consultation on Beeches/Applewood and they are holding a phone in on the show between 9-12, where they want to hear views from parents/carers/professionals on the importance of keeping these respite centers open.
