Message from our Sacramento Mayor. Great news - a group of artists with insideout, an art initiative aimed at creating a portrait of america, will be working on a public art display in Sacramento tomorrow (Wednesday, july 24) to raise awareness about the need for immigration reform. We are one of 10 cities, and the first city on the west coast, to host this project. the most exciting part of the art project is that Sacramento citizens will actually be the subject of the artwork. From 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. today people can stop by the corner of 9th and L streets and have their picture taken. those pictures will then be used as part of the artwork and displayed on the side of a building for all to see.
