Message from our councilman... THE WINTER STORM IS HERE AND OUR COMMUNITY RESPONDS. Dear Friends and Neighbors, Over the last few hours, my office has been talking with residents, local non-profits, and businesses across the district to help identify what resources and services will remain available to residents throughout the storm, and in the immediate aftermath. DISTRICT OFFICE CLOSED TUESDAY: DIAL 347-352-0382 TO REPORT STORM RELATED NON-EMERGENCY ISSUES. My district office on 4417 4th Avenue will remain closed, tomorrow, January 27th. However, we have set up a hotline that will serve as a depository for questions and concerns. That hotline number is 347-352-0382. For non-emergency assistance, please leave your name, number, and exact location address along with your specific requests and any relevant 311 reference number. A representative from our office will be getting back to you with any questions and forwarding your concerns to the Office of Emergency Management. Below are some of the local services that will be available tomorrow. Please be aware that this is not an exhaustive list, and that organizations may be coordinating services outside of this. I must repeat that while the idea of a storm of this scale is worrisome, I have full faith in this community as a model for organizing to respond in difficult times, and in looking out for those around us.
