Message from the Student Affairs Office: This is “You Should Know That…,” our series of updates from the Enrollment Management team that will keep the college community informed and better prepared to assist our students. You should know that: · We will continue in-person registration today, Friday, August 22nd and Monday, August 25th through Wednesday, August 27th. There will be no in-person registration taking place on Saturday, August 23, 2014. However, students may use CUNYfirst to register online. · We will continue to admit fall 2014 matriculated students who have already tested or are exempt, and have opted to transfer from other CUNY institutions for the fall 2014 semester. In addition, we will continue to admit non-matriculated students and students who would like to re-enroll after at least one semester of non-attendance at BMCC (readmits), and who are in good academic standing. However, we can no longer admit matriculated students who need to be tested. · Please encourage new students to get their ID cards immediately after they register for classes. We will be issuing IDs on Saturday, August 23, 2014 from 9:00am - 5:00pm for new students who are registered for the fall 2014 semester. However, there will be no in-person registration on Saturday, August 23rd. However, students may use CUNYfirst to register online. · If you encounter students who have indicated that they will not be attending, but are currently registered for fall 2014, please encourage them to drop their classes immediately, but no later than Wednesday, August 27th so that they will not incur any bills for tuition and fees.
