+Message of the day= josephpickellministries/daily-studies/let-me-be-your-example/ LET ME BE YOUR EXAMPLE Philippians 3: 15-21 (NIRV) PART 4 OF 7 18 I have told you those things many times before. Now I say it again with tears in my eyes. Many people live like enemies of the cross of Christ. -I have said in a few sermons how to follow and become more everyday who Christ wants us to be. Who Christ suffered for us to become. His death allowed us access to the Holy Spirit and the Spirit is our key to moving into that right connection with God. -I want to emphasize my grief. I feel our Fathers heart. I am saddened that people our Christians and choose to live like the world. They are not set apart. Working to be more pleasing in the sight of God. God loves us all. He gave so much for us. I cry sometimes for you my brothers and sisters. I just want my church to mature and keep going. This relationship with God fills all the voids in our hearts. All the pain and suffering the world brings, God heals! It becomes an addiction that cannot be broken. All we have to do is go to God as many times as we can think of him throughout our day. Talk to him in our heart. I love you my brother and my sister. I want all that I experience to be yours. If you could see what I have seen God do, feel what the Holy Spirit can do, and feel God’s love. It is something that will make you feel like you have never felt before. My prayer is you reading this sermon today will create a desire to experience this lifestyle, this feeling of peace, and his unexplainable harmony in your heart, soul, and mind. -There are those that are Christians (have accepted Jesus into their heart, been baptized, and have felt the Holy Spirit) but live like the world. God has been working on me cleaning all the stuff out of my life that is not pleasing to him. Believe me, it is not easy. I am 34 years old and have a lot of history in these things. They are not who He wants me to be. In order for me to experience/perform the gifts and fruits of the Spirit, I have to let go of all the things unpleasing to God. A decision I made last night was one or the hardest. I had to get rid of 10 years of work. It was not easy. God told me to read Ephesians 6:3 (NIV), “so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.” So I did it. HALLELUJAH! Now I will keep going. -I love you God and thank you for all that you have, are, and are going to do in my life and the readers of these sermons. I know you are an amazing God and you want to bless all your children. Please draw them closer to you so they can experience your blessings. Be that spiritual, physical, or emotional blessings. As they seek you, bring them overflowing amounts! In your name our friend Jesus, Amen!
