The Ethics and Anti-Corruption commission has now written a letter to National Assembly warning Mps and Senators against engaging in the harambees as this a violation of the Leadership and Intergrity Act and Public Offficer Act. The act states that only the President can authorise State officers to conduct harambees in times of DISASTERS, BUT even then the President must issue a gazette notice to declare a national disaster. Those who violate the law may be jailed for up to three years, or a court may impose a 500k fine or order for both. PESA MASHINANI IS THE ONLY WAY OUT.
