Message we received : are any of your employees that carry out the tooth whitening a qualified dentist, dental hygienist or dental therapist? because on 31st october 2012 the Eu sets out that if not your are breaking the law and will be reported to the GDC reguarding this Our reply : There have been recent changes to legislation stating that only ‘dentists’ can whiten teeth using ‘hydrogen peroxide’ at the strength of up to 6% (again most of this information has been distributed to the media by the General Dental Council and isn’t very clear or helpful to the client). However, on this occasion the information is indeed correct, but PLEASE NOTE – this is why we use gels that are Hydrogen peroxide free and are completely safe and legal for use in the UK! Its also worthwhile mentioning that many dentists use whitening gels that contain up 35% hydrogen peroxide, if you have your teeth whitening by a dentist using this strength of peroxide they are actually breaking the law! NOTE: We operate a Zero Bleach policy! All products used within our company are peroxide and bleach free and are safe, legal and have guaranteed results.
