Met with Dr. Siebert for the last time today before we leave. He cleared the air and were safe to fly home tomorrow - flying wont do any damage to my face. My face is still so black and blue and swollen because of the hematoma I suffered after the first surgery; its not typical for someone who has had this surgery to be bruised for so long. He said all of the bruising should be gone in about 4 to 6 weeks from now. A lot of the bruising back by where my ear is has started to fade away though! If the swelling stays up after Ive finished the steroid pills, he said I could go to a local doctor and get a steroid injection in my face to help with it. Hopefully it wont have to come to that, but the option is there. We were also invited to see a tech rehearsal today of a production of Kiss Me, Kate. We had to leave before the end to catch our cab, but it was still a wonderful play!! It opens this weekend so if youre in the Madison area should go and see it; Four Seasons Theatre in collaboration with the Wisconsin Union Theater :) Well be leaving the Ronald McDonald House tomorrow to head back home. Because of the flight times and all, well be back at our home sometime very early Wednesday morning. I honestly have mixed feelings about leaving because Ive come to love Madison so much, but I know its for the best! Ill be back next year for my revision anyways :)
