MetroNews Morning News Headlines: 53,000 are still without Power from the Ohio River to the Shenandoah River. Mon Power and Potomac Edison say it could be Friday before power is fully restored after powerful storms passed through northern WV Tuesday evening. Winds in Elkins were clocked at 63mph by the National Weather Service and NWS Pittsburgh issued a tornado warning at one point for Monongalia County, however there are no reports of a twister touchdown this morning. A Huntington man who shot six people in that citys Northcott neighborhood last September and was later arrested in New York will spend 12 years in a federal prison for gun and heroin possession. Antonio Smith, 32, was sentenced Tuesday in Huntington Federal Court. A parole hearing comes today for the man who kicked a West Virginia University student into a permanent coma during a fight in Morgantown back in 2009. Austin Vantrease, 23, is trying for parole for a third time. Ken Diviney, the father of Ryan Diviney who was beaten and has never regained consciousness, says Vantrease should stay behind bars. He plans to speak at todays parole hearing.
