MetroNews Morning News Headlines: A Cabell County man is behind bars today -- charged with kidnapping a 16-year old girl from her Kanawha County home early on Christmas Day. State Police say Jeremy Smith, 34, took the St. Albans girl to his Huntington home where he was later arrested. The girl says Smith hit her, threatened her, may have drugged her and even proposed. Shes back home safe this morning. The SOUTHBOUND LANES of Interstate 77 at the East River Mountain Tunnel in Mercer County are open again this morning. Those lanes were shutdown for a vehicle fire late last night, forcing highway traffic onto John Nash Boulevard in Bluefield for about two hours. The owner of a now-closed Braxton County funeral home is named in a complaint state Attorney General Patrick Morrisey has filed for alleged violations of the states Consumer Credit and Protection Act. The claim is the former Stockert-Sizemore Funeral Home and its previous owner, Timothy Sizemore, misappropriated money submitted as pre-payments for funerals and did not register some prepaid funeral contracts with the state, as required.
