MetroNews Morning News Headlines: State Police and a Logan Co. Deputy captured a murder suspect from Kanawha County around 4:30am. Glen Skidmore, 40, of Charleston is wanted on charges of murder and malicious wounding after a woman was killed and her 17-year old son wounded at a home in Mink Shoals overnight. The former president of Freedom Industries -- the company behind last Januarys chemical spill on the Elk River -- wants to keep his Bentley and his home in Florida. In a court filing this week, an attorney for Gary Southern asks that forfeiture proceedings against Southern be halted, arguing that those assets are NOT connected to Freedom Industries. The Mayor of Westover in Monongalia County says he did not know he was breaking the law when he shared an official election ballot with someone he knew earlier this year. On Monday, Westover Mayor David Johnson plead guilty to a misdemeanor count of circulating anonymous written material and a felony count of unlawful printing, possession or delivery of ballots. He was sentenced to 50 hours of community service and assessed a $500 fine and will remain in office. A Logan County man will serve as Interim President at Marshall University. After the sudden death of Marshall President Stephen Kopp earlier this month, the Board of Governors executive committee at Marshall went over the names of potential candidates to take the position temporarily. On Monday, the committee presented its unanimous recommendation and the BOG unanimously approved Gary White as Interim President.
